Kathy is a Quebec water-colour artist. She feels the creative process is meditative, enriches the soul and releases the inner spirit into her work. Growing up the journey to embracing her talent was not encouraged, as it is today. The idea was, that you were born an artist; one didn't develop as an artist. Kathy realized that she could continue her education as well as raise a family. She had found her bliss.
After working a number of years at the SunLife Insurance Company, she married and left to raise a family. In 1986 Kathy attended Concordia University to study English & Psychology. Then in 1989 after discovering her passion for art, she enrolled in the Fine Arts program at John Abbott College in St. Anne de Bellevue, Quebec. Three years later, she attended a water-colour class and immediately fell in love with the medium. Kathy joined the Artist Circle, where she developed professionally through their resources and support. During this period she really grew, learning about artist leagues, taking workshops and through the challenges of exhibiting her work she attained and fostered her goals as an artist.
Kathy has studied and been mentored in water-colour by many respected artists in Canada, the United States and New Zealand. Her favourite subjects are flowers, people and animals.
